G and I really love looking around in the temples. *o* After "Taichung Creative and Curtural Park, we spent some time in "Leh Cherng Temple"- a very old temple which is more than 250 years old now!
On the way there, we saw a huge statue on a roof top of a house next to the railway. Huge statue of "Red Faced General", big advertisement board of the election candidate, the train + blue sky; to G, that's the beauty of Taiwan; to me, that's the fascination of my country.
The big incense burner, the thick incense, and the wide open mouth dragons; to G, it's the beauty of art; to me, it's the familiarity of Hometown.
The whole wall and the pillars of the light beacon; the praying from the followers toward Gods is what G sees. Beyond the light beacon, I see the parents' and the elders' expectations and love to their offsprings. Through the lights, I see how helpless and powerless people are when lacking of directions in life...
The Money Monster! G and I both see $$$, hahaha!!!
The modern facility combined with ancient style look "paper money burner" amazed us! It shows how now people care about the sky and try to keep it blue while sending their prayers arising through the sky to the heaven where their gods live...
