(NC + our lunch)

Had a great day tour-guiding my ex-student now friend NC in and around Melbourne city~~
Actually I myself was more like a tourist looking around at all sorts of things..

We had lunch in "Red Pepper" Indian restaurant on Bourke St near the corner of Bourke and Spring St. The food didn't taste as good as last time when G and I went there with Z + K~~ (yet the meat itself was cooked well, I had to say, fairly..)

After lunch we went to "Greening Bakery" on Russell St near China Town to have authentic Taiwan "Pearl Tea"! Ahh~ memory of home....
Federation Square definiely a MUST to go-- we grabbed some information flyers from the visitor centre, sat outside at the edge of the square enjoying the vibes of Melbourne city~
Then we jumped onto the Free City Circle Tram to allow us to browse the beauty of some historical buildings in the city.
(Also to give NC some ideas about the sites + Old Melbourne Goal to tour around for tomorrow~)

Tram 19 served us up to Sydney Road, which is my real "local" area--
We walked along Sydney Road from the beginning (Tram 19 stop 20) up to the middle-eastern area (stop 28/29). Believe me, that would be considered as a "long" walk if I'd do it myself!
Surprisingly, NC and I just kept walking and looking at interesting shops (even a lot of them were closed), we didn't feel tired at all!
I, as a local guide, realised that there is so much to discover on Sydney Rd., ended up being more like two tourists walking on the street! Yet it was great fun~
If it was just my daily walk, I'd just walk past the stores without having a good look at things in them.

We even got invited into a cafe (I think it's more like a turkish club for men to go after work) just beacuse we stood in front of the window looking at people playing cards with a "shisha" (water pipe/ hookah) next to their table.
They were smiling at us and being frinedly to explain about "shisha" smoking-- to get the aromatic flavour (which is from the tobacco and herb they use) through it-- to give the relaxing feeling. They even offered us to try it!

It was a great fun walk! I really enjoy being able to view things as the way tourists do! I like the exciting feeling of discovering interesting and different things! Princess J enjoyed her day being a half local as a guide and half tourist!! :)
